Two fresh puzzles every day — a Standard tier and a Challenge tier. Same puzzles for everyone, everywhere.
Sudoku is a logic puzzle played on a 9×9 grid divided into nine 3×3 boxes. Fill every row, column, and box with the digits 1–9, each appearing exactly once. No math required — just logic!
Pencil marks are small candidate digits you write in a cell to track which numbers are still possible. Tap the pencil icon (or press N) to toggle notes mode, then tap digits to add or remove candidates.
The hint button analyses the current board and highlights a logical technique you can use next — like a Naked Single or a Pointing Pair. On easier difficulties it may place the digit for you. Hints add a time penalty.
Every day at midnight UTC, two fresh puzzles appear: a Standard tier (easier) and a Challenge tier (harder). Completing either one counts toward your daily streak. Difficulty rotates throughout the week so you face a variety of levels.
Yes! After your first visit, YAS is cached as a Progressive Web App and works fully offline. Install it to your home screen for the best experience.
YAS uses only an anonymous session cookie — no account, no email, no personal data collected. Your stats live on-device and on the server tied only to that anonymous session.
In Killer Sudoku there are no given digits. Instead, cells are grouped into "cages" with a target sum. The digits in each cage must add up to that sum, and no digit may repeat within a cage. It combines sudoku logic with arithmetic.
Diagonal Sudoku adds one extra rule: both main diagonals (top-left to bottom-right, and top-right to bottom-left) must also contain each of the digits 1–9 exactly once. The diagonals are highlighted on the board so you always know which cells are affected.
Click "Race a Friend" on the home page, choose a difficulty, and you'll get a unique room link. Share it with your opponent — when they open it, you both get the exact same puzzle. A live progress bar shows who's ahead. First to complete wins!
Complete a puzzle to record a ghost — a second-by-second replay of your progress. In Ghost Mode, a progress bar shows your current self vs your best-time ghost. Beat your ghost to set a new personal record.
